The fourth Sharjah Old Cars Festival runs from 21 to 24 January 2027 under the theme 'Every Car Tells a Story'. It focuses on vintage cars and the stories of the people who own them, and is organised by the Sharjah Old Cars Club.

Classic Cars and Tire Age
On classic and vintage cars, the age of a tire matters as much as the tread left on it, because rubber hardens over time even when the car is rarely driven. If you are fitting tires to an older car, check the date code and choose sizes and load ratings suited to the car, not just ones that physically fit.
- Read the four-digit date code on the sidewall (week and year). Tires older than about five or six years deserve a closer look even with tread left.
- Look for cracking in the sidewalls and between the tread blocks, which is common on tires that sit unused.
- Check pressures when the tires are cold, using the figures in the owner's manual.
- Flat spots can develop on a car that sits for weeks - roll it gently before a longer drive.
